What is Store management?
Store management:-
Store department receiving materials,
storing them and issuing these to workshops and departments in order to
maintain demand and supply. The store department is under the control of person
known as storekeeper.

1. Receiving, inspecting and recording of raw
materials.
2. Arranging for QC of raw materials.
3. Positioning and storage.
4. Issuing and recording.
5. Receiving and dispatching of finished goods.
Result of store management:-
1. Easy identification of all material stored.
2. Receipt of incoming goods.
3. Inspection of all receipts.
4. Easy to handle materials.

1. Optimum level of service to user department.
2. Best internal control.
3. Tracking of raw materials consumption.
4. Avoids duplication of efforts.
5. Provides opportunities for standardization.
